lyrical triptych pierce the veil bullet proof love

  Lyrical triptych reflection

For the lyrical triptych assignment i needed to pick a song and create three digital collage that express the songs meaning and emotion. First pictures were collected from gettyimages.com and saved to my computer. Then I opened Photoshop and the pictures that I saved and want to use for my project. Then I cut and paste parts of pictures that would be used on the triptych. Each triptych was 5x7 and was made one at a time. Then different affects where used to make all the pictures work together.

The song I used was bulletproof love by pierce the veil. The first triptych is a picture of a sunset of a lake. A boy is walking towards the bench in the cold night and there is a picture of a girl in the sky.  My second triptych is a picture of a night sky and a couple hugging each other. My third triptych is a picture in the woods of two people holding hands and there hands are on fire. I used the magic wand, the eraser, type tool, blending options filters and variations to create the triptychs.  I used a filter on the second triptych to make the sky look like a painting.

I expressed the mood of the song by using dark colors and making you understand the narrators feeling in the lyrics. I think the all the triptychs are good at representing that well. The pictures also go very will with the lyrics to the song.

Using adobe Photoshop for the first time this year and this being the second project I used with it I think my skills are becoming strong. I’m starting to feel more confident in using Photoshop. I think Photoshop is really cool in the way u can change a picture in millions of ways and I think I was very successful in making my lyrical triptych. I used a filter, variations, and I used three images or more in each panel like I was suppose to.  I wouldn’t want to change any thing about my project I think I did very well and I’m happy with the out come.

Magazine Cover Design Reflection

This assignment we were to create a magazine with our self on the cover. The cover was supposed to represent what we want to succeed in the future. First we had to figure out what we wanted to do and to be famous for. Then we wrote down who our target audience is and what we are going to do to make people pick up the magazine. We also worked on headlines and the layout of the cover.  Then we took pictures and uploading them to our laptop.  Then the picture was open up with Photoshop and I was off to do what ever I want to create my magazine cover.

My magazine is a Elle magazine. Elle is written big on the top in lime green. I’m on the cover wearing a pink sweater and checkered tie and I’m standing in my studio. My headlines say “designer of the year”, “ells new look”, and “top thing you need in your closet.”  “Make our own jewelry. The cover is very bright and colorful but also plain and simple.

I was trying to get people to pick the magazine up with all the colors and friendliness of the cover. I kept things simple so it wont be too much to look at but also it can catch your attention if u look at it. I put the back round to make it look like I was a professional and that picture was taking straight from my studio.

I feel like I could of done a lot better on this project. It was my first time using Photoshop and I got very frustrated when things didn’t want to come out right. So that put me behind by a lot and I felt rushed at the end to complete this project. I could improve on the headlines of the magazine a lot more.  I think some of them are hard to read or the color doesn’t clash well with the magazine.

my name is vanessa aka sharon born on the 28th of november. colors are my lover and a hot glue gun is my best friend. i  love to eat taco bell <3 and i some time dress like a boy or think im a polar bear. these are just examples of those days


  i love dressing up but some times i just like to wear basketball short and a tee shirt. i love things like socks, leggings,leg warmers, fishnets, pretty much things that u can wear on your legs. music is awesome and is one of my greatest inspirations =]. madonna is my hero, katy perry in my alter ego and bettie page is my grandmother.
